When God created us, he created us with a free will, we can choose what we do and when we do it, and we often choose to disobey Him. Whether we do it intentionally or subconsciously, this part of our nature is called sin, and sin separates us from God. The Bible says in Romans 3:23 ‘for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,’
Because God is perfect and cannot allow sin in His presence, we cannot be with Him L. Unless we get rid of our sin, the price we will pay when we die will be separation from God forever. Romans 6:23 ‘For the wages of sin is death,’
It really is a bummer to think that we will spend the rest of eternality without God. God didn’t like that either so He sent his son Jesus to pay the price for us, Romans 5:8
‘But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us’.
We cant even doing anything on our own to make it into heaven Ephesians 2:8-9
‘For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast’.
Its also not enough just to believe in God, you actually have to do something about it. The bible says Romans 10:9 ‘That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved’.

Prayer of salvation
Lord Jesus. I need you. Please forgive me for the sins I have committed. Thank you for dying on the cross for my sins. I open the door of my life and receive You as my saviour and lord. Thank you for forgiving me and giving me eternal life

You have just start along the journey of a life time, a life time of growing with Jesus and understanding more about Him. The best way to grow is to allow Jesus to work on your heart and mind, to make you more like Him.
What should you do now?
Read the bible a good place to start would be the book of John (its in the new testament part of the Bible)
Pray to God – Praying is just talking with God, you don’t have to say flash things just be your self, tell him how you feel and whats going on in your life – the good and the bad. A big part of pray is also listening, listening to what God has to say to you.
