Saving the World

We live in a world where MacGyver has retired and superman has moved on with life and settled down.

We live in a world where MacGyver has retired and superman has moved on with life and settled down. The closest thing we have to super hero’s are movie stars and that hot lead singer from the latest “post-punk emo” band that never seem to be out of supply. We live in a world where its trendy not to know what you believe in, yet people are searching for answers more then ever.

So why then do we as Christians seem to avoid telling others about Jesus when this world is so desperately looking for an answer. We live in a country with so much religious freedom yet our brothers and sisters in Christ who are persecuted for their faith are spreading the Gospel like wild fire.

So what is it that keeps us from sharing our faith with others. What keeps us from making Jesus known by who we are? Fear. Whether its fear of being rejected, fear of humiliation or fear that God isn’t going to come through for us. Fear is what stops us, its what paralyzes us from sharing our faith with others.

If we look through the gospels we learn that Jesus was a risk taker. If Jesus is our role model we too need to take risks. We need to step out in

faith and tell others of the new found love we find in Jesus Christ. Sure making a stand for God is a scary thing, but we must remember that we have the Creator of the universe on our side. Its each and everyone of our responsibilities to save this world. Its each and everyone of our responsibilities as followers of Christ to make Jesus known by who we are. Is there a vacancy for a super hero in your neighborhood? Why not step out and make a legacy that will not only change this world but change the shape of eternity? Let Jesus be known in your community by who you are.
